WHAT IS ECO-FRIENDLY STONE?

Cultured stone, stone veneer, architectural stone and manufactured stone veneer are all names synonymous with a synthetic cladding product: engineered stone that looks like natural stone.

Manufactured stone veneer is a veneer or a decorative outer surface applied to another structure. This product is different from a faux stone made from a polymer product that feels similarly to styrofoam than stone.

Manufactured stone is a durable building material. It can:

• Endure years of weathering with little change to color.

• Freeze, thaw, heat up, and cool down without cracking, chipping, or fading.

Stack-A-Stone has been manufacturing cultured stone made from Portland cement since 2014.

As opposed to quarrying a natural stone from the earth, often with devastating effects on its surroundings such as changing the landscape, reducing natural resources and forcing plant and wildlife in these areas out of their habitats, Stack-A-Stone’s veneer is created using a mixture of Portland cement, aggregates and iron oxides.

Our materials are recyclable. Stack-A-Stone does not use artificial ingredients such as plastic.

Additionally, the machinery used to mill natural stone can pollute the surrounding environment. Manufactured stone production is far more environmentally friendly than pulling natural stone from the earth.
